Kirsten Voss Petersen
Kirsten Voss is a Danish mezzosoprano, who has just received her masters degree in classical singing from The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus with teacher, Reinaldo Macias. During her years of study, she has worked with a variety of repertoire, spanning from opera and oratorios to art songs. This recent spring she created the concerts "Meditation of the sea" featuring cycles by Elgar and Gösta Nystroem, and "KØN", her masters recital, which through works from most of the classiscal history, were to explore the human perception of gender. For the concerts of Aarhus Chamber Music Festival she's immensely looking forward to perform the music of the English impressionists Rebecca Clarke and Frank Bridge, as well as the marvelous music of some of the greatest, but sadly overlooked female french composers.
