Kirsten Voss Petersen
Kirsten Voss is a Danish mezzosoprano, graduating from her masters degree at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, going on to now study at the soloist class with teacher, Reinaldo Macias. During her years of study, she has worked with a variety of repertoire, spanning from opera and oratorios to art songs, and has received the Ejnar Hansen scholarship.
This fall she's creating the concerts "Meditation of the sea" featuring cycles by Elgar and Gösta Nystroem, and "KØN", her masters recital, which explores the human perception of gender, through a broad repertoire from art song to opera.
For the concerts of Aarhus Chamber Music Festival she's immensely looking forward to performing the music of the English impressionists Rebecca Clarke and Frank Bridge, as well as the marvelous music of some of the greatest, but sadly overlooked female french composers.
